Oakland County announces UWM as COVID-19 vaccination host site for residents

Site of the UWM sports complex to administer vaccines from April 2

PONTIAC, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–United Wholesale Mortgage, (UWM), America’s leading wholesale and purchase lender, today announced that it will host a divisional COVID-19 vaccination site of Oakland County Health at its UWM Sports Complex, located in Pontiac, Michigan, beginning April 2.

The Oakland County Health Division plans to vaccinate 1,000 to 3,000 residents per day at the site, which has the capacity to increase to up to 5,000 appointments per day if an adequate supply of vaccines becomes available. . Vaccinations will be done by appointment only. The Health Division will remove appointments from the county’s Save Your Spot listing, which currently has about 600,000 listings. As of March 17, more than 284,000 Oakland County residents have received more than 440,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. In addition, nearly two in three Oakland County people age 65 and older have received at least their first dose.
